Cancer Care Website Design to Boost EnergyPoints’ Impact

EnergyPoints (developed by 5 Point App, Inc.) is a mobile health platform designed to help cancer patients manage pain and treatment fatigue through science-backed acupressure protocols. To support awareness, patient engagement, and crowdfunding efforts, EnergyPoints partnered with e9digital to design a website that clearly communicates the app’s benefits and encourages downloads and interaction.

Helping Patients Understand a New Health Solution

Cancer treatments can leave patients feeling worn out and in pain, yet many patients weren’t aware of accessible remedies like acupressure or how the EnergyPoints app could help. The challenge was to design a website that instantly conveyed the value of the app, explained its benefits in simple terms, and encouraged visitors—many of whom may be dealing with fatigue or stress—to take action, explore the solution, and consider downloading the app.

A digital interface shows headings about acupressure, a dashboard greeting Michael, a progress bar, app buttons, and options for learning or starting a simulation.

Patient-Centric Design With Clear Messaging

e9digital approached the project with a focus on clarity, engagement, and trust. The design strategy emphasized concise content, reliable data, and visuals that connect with users emotionally and functionally. Key elements of the solution included:

  • Research-driven content planning to understand oncology audiences and best practices for health communication.
  • Segmented content that addresses common patient concerns—like fatigue, ease of use for older adults, and affordability.
  • Strategic use of trust signals, including social proof and contextual visuals that make complex health information more approachable.
  • A thoughtful content structure that walks visitors through the app’s benefits and features without overwhelming them.

A Website That Educates, Engages, and Converts

The new site provides a digital experience tailored to the needs of cancer patients and their caregivers. By simplifying complex concepts and presenting them in a user-friendly format, the website helps users quickly understand how EnergyPoints can support their treatment journey. With clear calls to action and emotionally resonant design, the site also supports fundraising and app adoption goals, including helping the client raise additional funds through their crowdfunding campaign.

I think that the website looks really, really great… I’m so impressed to have a marketer come in and extract such good bits of information from the heavy content.
